My Life on the “G” List

A Suggestion…

…for the next time you’re bored.

No seriously, I was thinking about this today and I think it would be fun to do sometime when you are really feeling ornery and really wanna fuck with someone’s mind. Give this a try the next time you’re out and about running around in your car. Oh, and make sure the place you go to has a drive-thru window:

go to Starbucks and when the “voice” comes across the speaker asking what you want, respond with “yeah, hi, I’d like a banana split please.”

go to McDonald’s and when asked for your order tell them you want a dozen glazed donuts.

go to Taco Bell. They are usually in the habit of starting the drive-thru session with “hi, how are you today?” This is a very open ended question. For shits and giggles, respond with something like, “I’m constipated, thanks…and you?”

It’s funny, but this is totally out of character for me. I would never do such a thing, but sometimes in my mind, I think it would be funny if I did. Anytime I go to Taco Bell, I find myself biting my tongue when I hear, “hi, how are you today?” But I am always a good boy and respond with, “good thank you – can I have a crunchwrap please? thankssss!”

I guess the part that makes me curious is what the people working the drive-thru would actually say in response to something awkward. Would they take it in jest? Would they get angry? Would they have a quick comeback? Or what if they were new and had just come from another restaurant job? It might be especially funny to catch someone off guard who has had a long day and forgets they just came to McDonald’s from Arby’s. So you pull up and say (in the McDonald’s drive-thru), “can I have a regular roast beef and a large curly fry?” And they’d be all like looking for them on the cash register for 10 minutes before they realize they’re not at Arby’s anymore…

I’m a mean person. I never thought I had it in me. Then again, I guess I’m really not mean. Thinking and doing are two different things. It’s OK to think such things…but if any of you ever decides to actually do this, let me know the outcome. Then I won’t have to wonder anymore. LOL

  1. Haven’t ever thought about this, but it does sound like fun. Instead of filing it under being “mean” maybe we could file it under mischievous, and then we could get away with doing it.

LOL! Sounds like a good plan…and it does sound a lot better than “mean.” Thanks hon. *mwah*
